		abstract={This study aims to determine the business prospects of the onion cake industry and its role in the absorption of labor in the Lirik District, Indragiri Hulu Regency. This research is a type of descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The data collection techniques used are questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The number of respondents in this study were three respondents. 		The results showed that the business prospects of the onion cake industry in the Subdistrict of Lirik Indragiri Hulu Regency obtained a BCR value > 1, namely the onion cake business Intan B/C 2.87, Eci B/C 2.24 and Restu Bunda B/C 2.76. it can be interpreted that the onion cake industry is feasible to run and has good prospects for the development of the business. Then for the absorption of labor, there are 8 workers who are absorbed in the business prospects of this onion cake industry. The more the prospect of industrial business increases, the more workers will be absorbed.}
