		abstract={This  study  intends  to  find  out  in  depth  about  Interpersonal  Communication  between  Trainer  and  pplp  athletes  in  the  martial  arts  branch.  To  describe  the  interpersonal  communication,  the  researcher  focused  i nto  several  problems,  namely  openness,  empathy, supportive attitude, positive attitude, equality between coaches and athletes  in  the  martial  arts  branch.  The  research  method  in  this  study  uses  a  qualitative  approach with descriptive research methods. The s ubjects in this study amounted to 4  (four)  people,  consisting  of  2  (two)  trainers  and  2  (two)  players  obtained  through  purposive   sampling   technique.   Data   collection   techniques   through   in - depth  interviews, participant observation, documentation,. Data vali dity testing techniques  by means of source trigulation, triangulation techniques, time trigulation.}
