		abstract={This study aims to determine the extent to which the people of Ulak Patian Village understand the stages in appreciation. In this study, the author uses a theory about the stages of appreciation from Bastomi in Soebandi 2008 (118-120). Data was collected by using interview, observatoin, and documentation techniques. Then the data from interviews and observation in this study are described and described. From the results of the analysis of the findings in the field, it was concluded that the people of Ulak Patian Village were quite able to understand the stages of appreciating. Because they are very supportive and have public enthusiasm and interest in cegak dance, so that the cegak dance appreciation activity can run well in accordance with the objectives of the researcher.}
