		abstract={NUR RAHMAN. The effect of liqiud organic fertilizer and NPK fertilizer on the growth and production of sweet corn plants. (Zea mays saccharata Sturt) (Supervised by NURBAITI AMIRandBERLIANA PALMASARI.The purpose of this study was to determine and determine the type of liquid organic fertilizer and NPK fertilizer dosage that was right for the growth and production of sweet corn plants. (Zea mays saccharata Sturt). This research has been carried out in the land owned by farmers located on a voluntary road, kel. Taman bunga, kec sukarami, KM 7 Palembang  south sumatera. Research time is from Oktober until December 2019. The research method used is the field experiment method. The design used was a split-plot design with 9 treatment combinations and 3 replications. As for the treatment referred to is as follwos : main plot, type of liquid organic fertilizer (P) : P0 = without POC, P1 = POC of fruit waste, P2 = POCof vegetable waste.Children plots, NPK fertilizer dosage type (A):A1=100kg/ha(30g/plot),A2=300kg/ha(90g/plot),A3=500kg/ha(150g/plot). Based on the results of the study showed that liquid organic fertilizer fruit waste gives the best results on plants and sweet corn production, and NPK fertilizer application with a dose of 300kg/ha gives the best results on the growth and production of sweet corn.}
