		abstract={This research aims to determine the Role of Social Service in Fire Disaster Management inGorontalo Regency. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a descriptiveresearch type. The results of research based on four roles found that three roles have notbeen able to be carried out correctly. It has yet to be fully implemented based on the resultsrelated to the Prescribed Role. Furthermore, the Gorontalo Regency Social Service hasexperienced Role Failure in carrying out its duties in disaster management. This isrecognized by the agency that they have failed in fighting for compensation experienced bydisaster victims. Then, in terms of the role of the agency in disaster management, it hasexperienced role tension. The agency has indeed performed its duties by the plans made.However, carrying out this role has yet to be maximized. In addition, the agency admittedthat disaster management has yet to be maximized by existing plans. The community alsoconfirmed that the disaster management agency had provided guarantees to the communityto replace lost to disaster victims. Still, the reality is that the agency can only fulfill somethings promised. In contrast, one role has been carried out by the Gorontalo Regency SocialService, namely the Anacted Role.}
