This study aimed to determine the relationship between family knowledge and the healing of diabetic foot ulcers in type 2 DM patients at RSUD Prof. Dr. H. Aloei Saboe, Gorontalo City. The research design used was an analytic survey with a cross-sectional design, employing purposive sampling with a total of 35 respondents. The results indicated that there were 9 respondents (25.7%) in the good knowledge category, 10 respondents (28.6%) in the sufficient knowledge category, and 16 respondents (45.7%) in the poor knowledge category. Meanwhile, the healing of ulcers was categorized as severe in 20 respondents (57.1%) and very severe in 15 respondents (42.9%). The results of the Chi-Square statistical test showed a p-value of 0.000 <0.05, indicating a significant relationship between knowledge and ulcer healing. This was attributed to the lack of awareness among patients or their families regarding prevention and care. Therefore, it is hoped that families can apply their knowledge about how to care for family members with DM as a preventive measure against DM complications.} }
