abstract={If the child experiences high anxiety when hospitalized in preschool-age children, the child will likely experience developmental dysfunction. Therefore, it is necessary to handle the pressure with coloring play therapy. The purpose of the research was to determine the effect of coloring play therapy on the level of anxiety of hospitalization effects at pre-school age in the pediatric treatment room of the Tani dan Nelayan Hospital. The research type is quantitative with Pre-Experimental method. The population of preschool-age children who were treated in the pediatric ward of the Boalemo Tani dan nelayan Hospital was 48 children. The sample was 16 people through Non-Probability Sampling with the Accidental Sampling type. The instruments used were the Zung-Self Rating Anxiety Scale (ZSAS) and the SOP of coloring play therapy?statistical tests using paired t-tests. The results obtained were the average anxiety level before 6.13 and after 3.25; the significant value was 0.000 (
