		abstract={ABSTRACT
This study is a quantitative study that aims to determine the effect of working capital and retained earnings on the dividend payout ratio in state-owned companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The population in this study are state-owned companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2015-2019 period as many as 20 companies. The sampling technique in this study is purposive sampling, so that obtained 9 samples of companies. The data analysis method used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS 24. The test results show that working capital and retained earnings have no effect on the dividend payout ratio. This shows that the higher the working capital and retained earnings of the company, it will not affect the amount of the Dividend Payout Ratio. The limitation in this study is that it does not include elements of other variables outside of working capital and retained earnings which may affect the Dividend Payout Ratio.
