Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui berapakah persentase peresepan obat generik pada pasien umum di RSUD otanaha kota gorontalo yang merupakan bentuk kepatuhan pada peraturan pemerintah No:HK.02.02/Menkes/068/I/2010. Desain dari penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif, dengan mengambil lembar resep pasien umum di RSUD Otanaha Kota Gorontalo periode Januari sampai Mei 2013.
Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa rata-rata persentase peresepan obat generik masih dibawah rata- rata > 82%. Dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa perhitungan persentase peresepan obat generik pada pasien umum di RSUD otanaha kota goprontalo pada periode Januari sampai Mei 2013 rata- rata penggunaan yaitu 58,43 %.
