Knowing the problem can help the students and teachers in Education Department in finding a way to solve the problems. The research design used in this study is the qualitative design. The technique of data collection in this research are interviews and FGD (focus group discussion). First is interview and the second is Focus group discussion (FGD). Interview used in this research is semi-structured individual interviews, interviews are used to obtain deeper data results from selected individuals or informants. FGD is used to explore the main data. The type of FGD used is a Mini Focus Group because the researcher wanted to obtain in-depth formation about the responses, attitudes, and experiences of the group. The data analysis used in his research is thematic analysis. After colleting data and anayzing them, the results showed that there were 6 factors that influenced students? unwillingness, namely lack of self-confidence, embarrassment, anxiety, fear, lack of motivation, and the environment. So, of all the factors that contribute students? unwillingness to communicate. It is important to note that these factors are not mutually exclusive and can often interact with each other. Therefore, to increase students? unwillingness to communicate in English, the academy needs to have clearer and stricter rules that require all lecturers and students to always and consistently use English inside and outside the classroom.} }
