Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kesan mahasiswa jurusan bahasa Inggris dalam menerapkan model Flipped Learning di kelas Reading. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Lima peserta di sebuah universitas di Surabaya, Indonesia diwawancarai dan diobservasi selama proses pembelajaran. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat dua tema yaitu (1) Manfaat pembelajaran Flipped yang terdiri dari membangkitkan pemikiran kritis siswa, meningkatkan keterampilan siswa dengan pembelajaran Flipped, pembelajaran mandiri dan pembelajaran aktif pada kelas Reading, dan (2) tahapan pembelajaran Flipped yang terdiri dari metode pembelajaran Flipped pada kelas Reading dan pengaturan waktu belajar pada kelas Reading. Reverse learning memberikan kontribusi lebih kepada siswa; oleh karena itu guru diharapkan menerapkan Flipped Learning dalam rangka meningkatkan Reading. This study aimed to examine the English department students? impression in the implementation of Flipped Learning model in Reading class. This study used a descriptive qualitative research approach. Five participants in one of the universities in Surabaya, Indonesia were interviewed and observed during the learning process. The data were analyzed by using thematic analysis. The result showed there were two themes, namely (1) Benefit of Flipped learning which comprise of raising students? critical thinking, improving student skills by Flipped learning, self-directed learning and active learning in Reading class, and (2) Stages of Flipped learning that comprised of Flipped learning method in Reading class and management of study time in Reading class. Flipped learning gave more contribution for the students; Therefore the teachers are expected to implement Flipped Learning in order to improve Reading. Furthermore, this study is contributed to the teachers about the implementation Flipped Learning.} }
