Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah Policy Analysis Matrix (PAM). Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tahun 2023. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Usahatani padi sawah irigasi di Kecamatan Batang Asam Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat belum sesuai anjuran yang dikeluarkan dinas terkait terutama dalam penggunaan pupuk, (2) Usahatani padi sawah irigasi memiliki daya saing dengan indikator keunggulan komparatif DRCR = 0.1254 dan indikator keunggulan kompetitif PCR = 0.7565 dan (3) Kebijakan pemerintah pemerintah memberikan protektif ataupun perlindungan yang kuat terhadap petani didaerah penelitian sehingga memberikan dampak yang positif terhadap daya saing padi sawah irigasi. .ABSTRACT This research aims to (1) describe the description of irrigated lowland rice farming, (2) analyze the level of competitiveness of irrigated lowland rice farming in terms of comparative and competitive advantages, (3) analyze the impact of government policies on the output and input of irrigated lowland rice farming in Batang Asam District, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency. The analytical method used is the Policy Analysis Matrix (PAM). The research was carried out in 2023. The results showed that: (1) irrigated lowland rice farming in Batang Asam District, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency was not in accordance with the recommendations issued by the relevant agencies, especially in the use of fertilizers, (2) irrigated lowland rice farming was competitive with a comparative advantage DRCR = 0.1254 and the indicator of competitive advantage PCR = 0.7565 and (3) The government's policy provides strong protection or protection to farmers in the research area so that it has a positive impact on the competitiveness of irrigated lowland rice.} }
