		abstract={This term paper discusses about annotated translation. Annotated translation
is used when the translator wants to include the explanation of the translation he
has done. On this research, the writer used some theories such as definition of
translation, procedures, techniques, and methods of translation. This term paper
focuses on words and phrases to be annotated. The purpose of this study is to
increase the knowledge of the readers about annotated translation, and to help
them to easily understand the meaning of the text. The data source in this research
are words and phrases found in A Map for Wrecked Girls novel. The study of this
research is using qualitative approach by collecting data in the form of words. A
Map for Wrecked Girls is the main source of this research and supported by some
linguistic sources which are related to the study. In this term paper, the writer has
found some difficulties when translating some words and phrases, yet by
searching references, the writer could overcome those difficulties.}
