		abstract={This term-paper is about politeness strategies and the factors found in Avengers:
Endgame movie script. This research focuses on answering two formulations of
problems as follows: 1) politeness strategies used by the main characters of
Avengers: Endgame movie and 2) the factors that have influenced the main
characters using politeness strategies of Avengers: Endgame movie. This research
uses qualitative research approach through analyzing the conversation of the main
characters obtained from the movie script. The results of the analysis show that the
main characters in Avengers: Endgame movie used all types of politeness strategies
including bald on record, positive politeness, negative politeness, and off-record.
positive politeness is the most used type because all of the main characters in this
movie is a team. The factors that influence the main characters are social variables
consisting of social distance, relative power, and the rank of imposition.}
