		abstract={This study aims: to explain Thanos' illocutionary acts found in the movie script "Avengers: Infinity
War",to describe the illocutionary functions used by Thanos in the movie script "Avengers: Infinity
War", and explain the impact of illocutionary acts Thanos to his listeners. This study uses a qualitative
descriptive method. The data is obtained from the dialogue of the main character in the Avengers
Infinity War moviescript. The results of this study indicate that: first, there are five types of dialogue
illocutionary acts of themain character in the Avengers Infinity War film script such as assertive (17),
directive (11), commissive(9), declaration (1), and expressive (6). Second, the researcher has found
six reasons why the types of illocutionary acts are manifested in the Avengers Infinity War film script.
Third, the researcher has foundand elaborate the impact of each illocutionary act that Thanos uttered
to the listener.}
