		abstract={This term paper aims to analyze figurative language in a song lyric of Slipknot?s We Are Not Your Kind album
from Slipknot by using semantic theory. The theory in semantic studies used to analyze song lyrics is the theory
of figurative language. This research uses a qualitative approach. This research is carried out using descriptive
qualitative methods because the data take is not numerical data but descriptions, that's why I use qualitative in
this research. The object of this research is the song lyrics in the album We Are Not Your Kind by Slipknot
written by Shawn ?Clown? Crahan. The data of this research is taken from the lyrics in the spotify application.
The results of this study are that there are several figurative languages contained in the lyrics of the song We Are
Not Your Kind, there are 5 types of figurative language found in song lyrics of Slipknot?s (We Are Not Your
Kind) album. There are fourty four (44) metaphors, two (2) similes, ten (10) personifications, and four (4)
hyperboles, one (1) allusion .}
