		abstract={This term paper describes the theme of literary of short story using intrinsic and extrinsic
approaches. By intrinsic approach applied with Family Institution (Function Family

ecomomic function. This term paper is a kind of qualitative research with the literature study
in interpretative characteristic combined with the data collecting method in a form of literary
text from a short story titled, Up All Night by Heather Falkner as a primary source and is
supported by some literatures related to the theories, concept and definition as a secondary
