This research aims to find out if there is any correlation between interest in learning English and learning achievement. The sample of this correlational study was 32 students of SMP Negeri 6 Palu. The instruments to collect the data were questionnaire of interest and learning achievement document. The data were analyzed by using Pearson Product Moment formula to find out the coefficient correlation. Based on the data analysis, the result shows that the rxy was .352 with the level of significance of t-table 5% = 0.349. It can be inferred that there is low positive correlation between interest in learning English and learning achievement of the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 6 Palu. It indicates that the interest in learning English does not influence much on the learning achievement. It means that there are some other factors like learning style, motivation, health, intelligence, and tallent that can influencing the learning achievement.}
