In this study, the researchers aimed (1) to analyze students' difficulties in learning conditional sentences (2) to determine the factors of students' difficulties in learning conditional sentences. The purpose of this study was to analyze the difficulties of students in learning conditional sentences and to find factors of students' difficulties in learning conditional sentences in grade 2 of SMK Al-Kyai Sukosewu. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. Research was also conducted using error analysis procedures starting from data collection, identification of test results, explanation of difficulties, and explaining the factors of student difficulties. In this study the data obtained through tests, interviews, and questionnaires. The results showed that students had difficulty learning conditional sentences, namely using the wrong formula, not memorizing formulas, lack of vocabulary, not understanding verb changes and not fully understanding conditional sentences. Of these difficulties, the highest difficulty lies in type 2 and 3 conditional sentences obtained from the results of tests, interviews and questionnaires, then the student difficulty factor is lack of motivation to learn, students do not want to study alone at home, students do not like learning English.
