The researcher used the qualitative method using Questionnaire and interview to collect the data about their perception on the use of Duolingo in learning English, and the troubles also obstacles in using Duolingo as a media in learning English. The participant of the research were 41 undergraduate students of the sixth semester of the early Childhood education major students (PIAUD) in one of the university in Bojonegoro. Due to the development of technology which impacted to educational system especially in the use of application during in teaching and learning process, so, this research focus on the using od Duolingo as a media in learning English. It was utilized as a media to enhance the teaching and learning process. The results showed that almost 99% participants given positive perception like the usefulness and the functions. The challenges and obstacles of using the application in learning English were divided into two factors, internal such as mood, laziness, lack of knowledge and the limit of time: and external included network, the use of smartphone, and the error of the application.} }
