This research is motivated by the problem of students' low reading enthusiasm and monotonous learning methods in English lessons in class which affect student achievement. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of applying the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) method to student reading achievement and describe how it applied the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) method to students' reading achievement. This research used mixed methods (mixture). The sample of this research was the eighth graders of MTs Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Sukosewu, consisting of 28 students. The research instruments were observation and interviews to find out information descriptively, while tests were used to measure students' abilities. The results showed that there were several differences before and after the implementation of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) method in learning English.
