		abstract={This thesis is entitled Application of the Principles of Tourism Governance in the Management of Kelimutu Lake Tourism Objects by the Kelimutu National Park Office. The formulation of the problem in writing this thesis is How to Apply the Principles of Tourism Governance in the Management of Kelimutu Lake Tourism Objects by the Kelimutu National Park Office. The theory used by researchers in solving research problems is the theory of the principles of tourism management. This researcher uses a qualitative descriptive method. Sources of primary data and secondary data, data collection using interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis phase was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, the conclusion drawing stage and then analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results of the study show that (1). The development and development of tourism is based on local wisdom and local special attractions, namely with the characteristics and uniqueness of the original identity of the local Ende people and their culture in the Lake Kelimutu Region, there is development and management in the form of souvenir products, woven craftsmen, and locally based food in the Lake Kelimutu area as well as by discovering the potential that exists in local communities as a development of tourist attraction the Kelimutu National Park Office also provides facilities and capital assistance to the community. (2) Preservation, Protection and Quality Improvement of Resources, where the participation of the Kelimutu National Park Office is in terms of paying attention to balance and providing direction or more to widely introduce that there are other tourism besides lakes to the community and conducting training or development to the community about the world of hospitality as well as insight into foreign languages (English) to the public (tour guides) so that the quality of human resources can be more advanced and improved. It can be seen again that the Lake Kelimutu Region is a tourist location that has natural uniqueness that other tourist spots do not have. Based on the results of the analysis above, the authors conclude that the theory of the principles of tourism management has an effect on improving an area of Lake Kelimutu tourism objects. Based on the conclusions above, the authors suggest to the Kelimutu National Park Office that they must provide or must conduct training to the public about the world of hospitality and also insight into foreign languages.}
