		abstract={Legal protection is an effort made in order to fulfill rights and provide a
sense of security to the entire community, legal protection is given so that the
community may enjoy the rights granted to them by the government. Legal
protection is given equally to all people without discrimination, including those
who are disabled. Nowadays, the discrimination against the disabled community
is still very much present, such as the case of Dwi Aryani where she, a disabled
person, and her mother were asked to get off the plane because she did not bring a
companion and Etihad Airline did not fulfill its obligation to provide special
services and facilities persons with disabilities, in which case the airline Etihad
Airways have fulfilled the elements of tort because the presence of an act that is
detrimental to others, and an obligation that?s left unfulfilled as a business actor.
The conclusion that can be drawn from the analysis written in this thesis is that
the government has indeed provided adequate regulations in regards to persons
with disabilities but it is still in a form of a resolution of a dispute and the lack of
education to airline officers and to the public in regards of persons with
disabilities. Thus, the reoccurring incidents of discrimination against persons with
disabilities.Therefore, the author seeks to analyze the legal protection of a
disabled person in the field of air transportations.}
