		abstract={Every year the population of elderly keeps expanding in Indonesia. Elderly is someone who needs a constant care from their family because due to few factors. Because of other obligations, it causes difficulty to take care and supervise elderly fully. Therefore nursing home is the solution from the family for the elderly. Nursing home is a place where they care and give shelter to the elderly. With the limited communication with families, nurses are the only people who can elderly be dependent on. While elderly that lives with their family has different experience compare to elderly that lives in a nursing home. The aim of this research to know the self- disclosure of elderly that currently living with their family compares to elderly in a nursing home. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive approached; every data is collected through in-depth interview with the elderlies. The result of the research will show the self-disclosure of elderly through stages in social penetration theory.}
