Candlenut seeds are one of the plants that have a fairly high oil content about 57-69% of the weight of the seeds. The process to obtain candlenut seed oil is from a mechanical pressing process. The rate of FFA contained in candlenut oil is 1.595%. CaO catalyst is obtained from the shells of a chiken eggs that had been through the calcination process over 900oC in muffler furnaceabout 3-4 hours. This research uses an experimental method and the purpose is to analyze the effect of using the heterogeneous base catalyst concentration (CaO) and the stirring time used on the yield of biodiesel produced so that the candlenut seed oil biodiesel can be compared with the quality requirements of SNI 7182:2015. The highest biodiesel yield is 77.44% and was found in sample A1B3 which is used 1% of catalyst and 90 minutes of stirring time. The characteristics of density, kinematic viscosity, cetane number, acid number, and FAME content are respectively 911.9 km/m³; 8.76 cSt; 43.18; 6.01 mg-KOH/g; and 65.64%, while the iodine number is 12.9% that has qualified of SNI 7182:2015} }
