		abstract={SMA Negeri 1 Tapen in its daily process still uses the Microsoft Excel application to support daily operational activities, in entering teacher data, student data, class data, lesson data and the process of entering grades, so it takes quite a long time to carry out these activities. In this activity, one example is a teacher still has to ask an admin for data with flash media to complete the missing data, which makes the work take longer and seems ineffective. The Prototype method (Pressman, 2012) is one of the widely used software development methods. Using this method, developers and users can interact with each other during the system creation process. The web-based academic information system uses the PHP programming language and the Codeigniter framework. This academic information system helps teachers to be more efficient and effective in managing reports on the values of attitudes, knowledge and skills. And it is also very useful for schools in collecting teacher, student, lesson, class and grade data.}
