		abstract={This study to determine the effect of onion ekstrak and media composition on the growth of pepper cuttings.This research was conducted at the state polytechnic of jember, from February to March 2021. This research was cinducted using a factorial random block design. The treatment given was onion extract which consisted of 4 levels, and 3 levels of media composition. Factor one concentration of onion extract which consists of four levels,namely A1 : 0%,A2 : 20%, A3 : 40%, A4 : 60% and factor two media composition which consists of three levels, namely B1 : 1 top soil, 1 compost, 1 sand, B2 : 2 top soil, 1 compost, 1 sand, B3 : 1 top soil, 2 compost, 1 sand. This study used 12 treatment combination repeated three times to produce thirty six treatment combination. Each experimental unit consisted of fifteen cuttings for a total of five hundred forty. Provision of 60% shallot extract and media composition with a ratio of 2 : 1 : 1 give the highest average shoot length. Keywords : Pepper, onion extract concentration, Media composition}
