Public demand for melon commodities is increasing along with increasing public awareness of nutritional needs. Every year in Indonesia, melon production fluctuates. Seed extraction is one way to maintain seed quality. This research was conducted to determine the type of extraction that is most effective for maintaining seed quality. The study was conducted in November 2018 in the CV laboratory. Multi Global Agrindo Surakarta. This study used a randomized non-factorial (CRD) completed consisting of 4 treatments with 5 replications. The treatments used were H (2% HCL soaked 2 hours), T (20 g / l Tohor Lime soaked for 30 minutes, F (24 hour fermentation) and A (control). 24 hour fermentation treatment (F) was the best treatment. the best results are the seed germination (94.40%), growth speed (26.19%), simultaneity growth (80.00%), and maximum growth potential (98.00%).
