ABSTRACT

The purpose of this research is to know the effect of soil tillage system and mulching application to the growth and yield of Mungbean. (Vigna radiate L). This research was conducted from October 2014- januari 2015 at Jember State Polytechnic Practical area at ± 89 m asl. This research used Randomize Block Design (RBD) consist of 2 factor and 3 time repetition. First factor is soil tillage system consists of P1=zero tillage,P2= minimum tillage, andP3 = strip tillage. Second factor is mulching treatment consists of M1 = using MPHP and M2= rice straw mulching, and M3= without mulching . The result of research shows that soil tillage  and mulching application give non-significant effect (ns) to growth and yield of Soybean.
