Abstract :
Induction motors have dominated the electromechanical energy conversion field which used 80% of various types of motors. Induction motors are one of the most frequently used in industry. A motor failure operation in a production process can lead a huge loss in some industries. To anticipate the huge losses, early detection of motor damage before trip is essential for reducing production losses. One of the methods which used to analyze the damage on motor is Motor Current Signature Analysis (MCSA), a method by analyzing the frequency spectrum and stator currents. Damage motor would have different harmonic spectrum on stator current, therefore the damage could be detected. The damages on motor that could be detected are unstable of air-gap eccentricity, breakage rotor bar, bearing cracks, and stator winding faults.
