Abstract :
System earthing substation equipment serves to limit the tension arising between equipments, soil and leveling equipment with voltage gradient arises on the surface of the soil due to the fault current flowing in the soil, so that it can
provide security on the equipment and also people who were around the substation. The construction system requires a design such that it meets the requirements of the earthing system. In this thesis the author conducts a study to find out the grounding system design in Durikosambi Extra High Voltage
Insulated Substation meets the requirements of touch voltage and step voltage that are permitted or not so that the earthing system can be said to be good and feasible. Where the results refer to the IEEE Std 80-2000 standard. The results of calculations and discussion obtained can be concluded that the value of earth resistance holds the requirements, namely 0.04666 ? ? 1 ?, LC conductor length is 6030 m, conductor rod LR is 138 m, distance between D grid is 6.4 m, mesh voltage value meets the requirements, namely 153,462 V, smaller than the value of the touch voltage permitted 1213,43 V and smaller than the standard 1400 V, and the maximum step voltage value also fulfills the requirements of 106,80318 V, smaller than the allowable step voltage 4074, 81 V and smaller than the its standard 4950 V.
