Abstract :
One attempted by Indonesia to enter Indonesia is 4.0. in the field of electric power systems, namely by implementing the AMI system. The AMI system is a customer service system consisting of smart meters, repeater, DCU and servers that can load a system of measuring electrical quantities at customer installations that is integrated with an application system that can calculate electrical quantities at any given time interval, providing how much notification- this amount meets the standard, provides a notification about blackouts, calculating energy losses. The AMI system can also calculate electricity usage for system payments. The stages in implementing the AMI system begin with collecting data, offering material contractors, announcing selected materials contractors, inviting prospective installation contractors, training prospective installation contractors, auctioning potential contractor installations, socializing and surveying as well as the final installation installed. The author takes the example of applying the AMI system to PLN UID Jakarta Raya customers who have a total low voltage customer of 4,474,892 customers with a total distribution substation of 14,007 which has 72,585 feeders. The application of the AMI system at the PLN UID Jakarta Raya with this data requires a processing time of 5 years and 6 months. This makes the AMI system approved for implementation in major cities in Indonesia, considered as a benefit of implementing the system.
