Abstract :
Medium voltage air channel 20 kv is a part of an electric power distribution system that reaches a wide area, the amount of power losses in medium airways depends on the size of the conductor of the channel, channel length, load distribution. Considering these conditions, it is necessary to have predictive steps to optimize the distribution of medium voltage airways to a better direction. This includes by enlarging the medium voltage air channel conductor so that in the future it can be more optimal in channeling and economical, in this thesis will be discussed the replacement of conductors from a medium voltage air duct 20 kv on Pajero Feeders at PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 Gunung Putri, with the size of the previous conductor diameter 70 mm converted to a size of 150 mm, due to the increasing demand for electrical energy necessity for the Babakan Madang sub-district whose electricity is fed by the Pajero Feeder. According to the Bogor Regency Central Bureau of Statistics in 2016 up to 2018 there has been a population increase of 6,35%. Based on the results of the research after being replaced in 2018, the difference value of delivery losses resulting from before and after is 84.894 kWh, but it requires an investment cost balance between the power loss and investment needed, it takes 3,21 years to obtain the return on investment capital.
