Abstract :
ABSTRACT The development of electric power systems in Indonesia cause the electric power transmission system more widespread and the net configuration become more diffucult. Especially in Jakarta, the net configuration systems have been interconnected. Where about the percentage of short circuit is not stable. Because of that, to prevent the interference, we use Distance Relay as the main protection in transmission system and OCR as the local backup protection. The reason is because the distance relay is not affected by short circuit and selective for its protection areas especially for the interconnection systems. The purpose of this essay is to find out the impedance setting that has been paired and to compare it with the calculation result in different condition. The distance relay used at GI Muara Karang Lama is relay with GE brand, D60 type paired with PUTT system and quadrilateral characteristic. The value of impedance that has been paired is Z1=0.34 ?, Z2=0.52 ?, Z3=0.63 ?. And the value of impedance from the calculation result is Z1=0.31 ?, Z2=0.594 ?, Z3=0.796 ?. The calculation from this essay use SPLN T5.002-2:2010 standard with same working time between the data and the calculation as t1=0.1 s, t2=0.2-0.4 s, t3=1.2-1.6 s.
