Abstract :
The 20 kV medium voltage distribution network in Jakarta is mostly served by land cable lines, but there are also some urban suburbs that are still served by airways. Networks served with ground cables have better reliability than networks served by airways. However, in terms of investment or network construction costs, a 20 kV land cable has a cost that is 4 times more expensive than an air duct cable. Air duct cable more often experiences interference, and customer claims arising from customers more than the ground cable duct. According to the analysis of economic calculations using the Payback Period method, the investment value is Rp. 396,411,000, and a penalty loss of Rp. 958,278. Then the investment costs will return within 414 years. Where to scale the installation on the distribution network is not very visible, but when calculating compensation in blackout conditions the penalty loss increases by Rp 208,878,459.3. So that the investment index also increased far to 2 years which means the investment is very profitable. Likewise, with the reference of the difference in inter-delivery power losses of Rp 20,777,956,307, the investment index increased to 19 years. So in terms of customer service PT. PLN (Persero) Kebon Jeruk increased and pressed the compensation rate from customers in accordance with the TMP (Service Quality Level) declared
