Abstract :
ABSTRACT The increasing electricity demand at PT. KAI, especially at Gambir Station, has made electricity bills increase at Gambir Station, for which PT. KAI plans to install PLTS Atap in an effort to reduce electricity needs and also its electricity bills. As a trial installed PLT Roof On Grid with a capacity of 5 kWp to supply a portion of electricity usage during the day. Installation of On-Grid Roof PLTS with a capacity of 5 kWp which has been operated starting on. March 20, 2019 generates electricity production of an average of 19.05 kWh and in April 2019 the energy production obtained is 571.67 kWh. The use of electrical energy for gambir stations peak load outside time (lwbp) is 66,623 kWh per month on average, so that with a production of 571.67 kWh per month PT KAI is able to save kWh of 0.85%, and saving electricity tariffs of 0, 01%. Paying attention to the roof area at Gambir station is still possible to increase Roof PLTS capacity to 26 kWp, then with an additional investment of Rp.420,889,890, - PT KAI has the potential to obtain savings of 4.5% per month, and pln electricity tariff savings of 4.54%. The results of financial calculations show that the addition of Roof PLTS capacity at the Gambir station is very feasible to do with consideration of NVP Rp. 651,966,952, and IRR 33% value of BCR2,549 and PBP for 3.08 years.
