Abstract :
Consumer expenses consist of linear expenses and non-linear expenses. Use Non-linear loads are widely used in households, companies, factories and others. The use of non-linear loads is the trigger for the emergence of harmonics. Harmonics are very important in electric power systems, such as transformers. Harmonics can reduce the work capacity of the transformer. For this reason, this study will study the effect of harmonics on transformer profit and loss in the Kompas tower. In this case, it is necessary to compare the current THD value and the voltage THD when measuring and calculating according to SPLN D5.004-1: 2012. The results of the phase R current THD (16.60%), phase S (17.05%) and phase T (16.77%) where THD current exceeds the specified SPLN which is <5%. High harmonics will affect transformer profit and loss. From the calculation results obtained profit and loss phase R 24.46kW, phase S 21.75kW and phase T 15.19 kW. Increasing transformer efficiency Improves Decrease from 98% to 95%. With a decrease in the transformer, the transformer plug power also increased from 2000 kVA to 1920 kVA. The decrease is 80kVA
