Abstract :
One important component in the electricity system is the power transformer. At each substation there is a power transformer that functions to distribute power while changing the voltage from high voltage to medium voltage. The performance of electrical power distribution is quite reliable, it needs to be equipped with a protection system where the protection system serves to secure the equipment from disturbances that occur such as short circuit interference. As the main step in overcoming the short circuit disturbance, overcurrent and ground current relay (OCR) and Ground Fault Relay (GFR) are used. Where OCR and GFR itself is equipment that indicates an overcurrent, both caused by short circuit interference or overload that can damage the power system equipment that is in its protection area. n this study used quantitative research methods that use numbers, both from data collection, calculations and results as well as the addition of graphs. The calculation results obtained that the amount of interference current at a distance of 0% for 3 phases of 5,162.1 A, for 2 phases of 4,470.5 A and 1 phase to the ground of 283.8 A. Calculations for OCR and GFR settings it?s selective and still in good condition and the best setting when the TMS on OCR and GFR works no less than 0.30.
