Abstract :
Generation Services Unit (UJP) Banten 3 Lontar is part of the power generation company PT. Indonesia Power utilizing coal fuel as primary energy. UJP Banten 3 Lontar consists of three units, namely on each unit has a power capacity of 315 MW. Electricity generation from using mechanical energy generated from the steam energy to drive turbines with a rotor speed of 3000 rpm and generates frekueansi 50 Hz and 20 kV voltage terminal. Along with the change of the load can affect the stability of the voltage generator. Therefore, excitation system is required to keep the generator voltage kestbilan. In this discussion is to know the influence of excitation current to the generator output voltage. From the data entrusted as the known excitation current at 11. 00 is a condition where high excitation current 1635.35A and produce high voltage also is 20 240 V as well as producing high reactive power of 98.34. So it can be seen that the role of the excitation current to voltage and reactive power really having an effect.
