Abstract :
The dynamic of free market marked by trading blocks demands free trade competition where only the best quality product that can compete. One of the ways to compete in free market is the international acknowledgement of the quality product of a country. The acknowledgement is agreed by issuing a certificate as the proof of quality guarantee. The quality management system for each company becomes more important, along with the increase of market demand on the quality product, therefore, the presence of ISO 9001 can help the company management in strengthen the work quality to increase the product quality that is produced and can improve the work. In the end, it can give consistent product guarantee match with the market hope and can strengthen the competition. This research analyzes how far implementation of the ISO 9001 quality management system can improve the quality of the project. Project data for the analysis are taken through the dissemination of the questionnaire on the project personnel, the situation that exists in the construction project of the lovely Castle Tower which was carried out by PT Jaya Konstruksi (Persero). Tbk. Based on the results of the analysis of the data, obtained the role of quality control is very important to maintain the quality of implementation in the production, so that the quality objectives can be achieved. seeing of a detailed questionnaire about the potential constraints of construction project work its influence is very small it means the existence of ISO 9001 can be used as a tool to improve the quality in terms of the implementation of the construction project.
