Abstract :
In the process of delivering electrical power to customers, losses often occur in the form of energy losses. Power losses are power lost due to power generated but not used. While the energy loss is the amount of energy in kWh lost / shrinking, occurs due to technical and non-technical factors arising from the resistance of the distribution network element that flows the current, giving rise to energy in the form of heat. While the energy losses in non-technical more due to the influence of external distribution systems such as electricity theft, meter reading errors and errors of the measuring device. This study discusses the energy losses in the distribution substation of PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 Pondok Kopi. As for the case studies the substations were PG127, PG161, KD47AS, KD56, PG291. The method of this research is to calculate the energy loss and after analysis, the power loss is 9.97% and the energy loss is 9.94 % in the PG127 distribution substation, the PG161 power loss is 11.14 % and the energy loss is 11.05 % of 10.88%, while the KD47AS substation obtained a power loss value of 11.42 %, the energy shrinkage obtained a value of 11.47 % on the KD56 substation obtained a shrinkage value of 10.71 % while the energy shrinkage value of 10.75 % and at PG291 substation obtained power loss value of 12.31 % and in energy losses obtained value of 12.34 %, and the estimated loss value of PLN on PG127, PG161, KD47AS, KD56, PG291 substations amounting to Rp. 107.723.164,33
