Abstract :
Steam Power (power plant) is a plant that rely on the kinetic energy of the steam to generate electrical energy that requires coal as its main ingredient. Therefore, the power plant requires an apparatus for maintaining the efficiency and further processing of coal in order to work reliably. Therefore, it takes a piece of equipment called Electric Coal Feeder. ECFis a device that has an important role in coal flow system that supplies fuel to the combustion chamber of the boiler. (ECF) serves as a feeder coal to MSM (pulverizer), and as the main fuel supply coal boilers, coal feeder as well as the calculation of the amount of data coal fuel is used (as a reference for the calculation of SFC / specific fuel consumption). In the everyday world, coal feeders sometimes have problems, one of which is his trip ECF due to faulty sensor block. So that the accumulation of coal in the coal feeder can not be known through the monitor. This can cause a decline in the reliability of the equipment. The fall in the reliability of this will impact on the unit load. Of the costs of losses caused by ECF trip for 7 hours, Rp Rp 314 650. 000 per hour and Rp 44.95 million as well as fat coal can unfulfilled ie 44.46 tons / hour.
