Abstract :
Prepaid electricity service is a new form of service PLN selling electric energy by means of payment in the purchase of prepaid electricity. The Mechanism is done by buying tokens. Each customer will be equipped with a device called kWh meter LPB (Prepaid electricity) and card no identity of the customer. However there are some drawbacks of prepaid electricity payment models that are running at this time. For example, in terms of the input token number to be entered manually, which allow input errors. Purchases through ATM is the possibility of failure struck print that contains numbers prepaid electricity tokens. To overcome these problems, in need of a prototype kWh meter that can accept input token numbers efficiently without having to manually enter the token number.
