Abstract :
Harmonic interference that occurs in the transformer is caused by distortion of current and voltage waves. The current and voltage waveform distortion is caused by the formation of waves with a frequency of a multiple of the fundamental frequency. Based on the IEEE 519-1992 standard the total Harmonic Distortion voltage limit is 5.0% and the current Total Harmonic Distortion limit is 8.0%. Based on the results of measurements and calculations performed on the transformer at PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Bandengan, the value of Total Harmonic Distortion voltage obtained on the transformer of general customers on average is 0.75480% and on special customers at 0.809995%. Whereas for Total Harmonic Distortion the current in general customer transformers is 10,05480% and for special customers an average of 2,79869%. The dc winding loss, eddy current loss and other targeted losses are calculated to calculate the power losses that affect the resulting economic losses. After calculating the losses - the losses obtained economic losses of general customer transformers of Rp 2.967.810.622,- and special customers of Rp 1.734.062.196,-. This shows that the economic losses for general customer transformers are greater than for special customer transformers.
