Abstract :
The transformer is a piece of electrical equipment needed in the process of distribute electrical energy from the generator to the load center. The transformer can convert the voltage to be larger or smaller to adjust the needs. In converting electric voltage, there is always an energy that turns into heat (heat loss) in the core and transformer winding. The core loss is not affected by the amount of the transformer loading current, while the winding losses can change due to the loading current. Losses of distribution transformers result in technical losses borne by PLN, to find out the extent of losses borne by PLN during the use of distribution transformers, the losses are calculated using the estimated method of load growth in the future. The study was conducted on a distribution transformer at the CKG181 concrete substation located at Pedongkelan Belakang street, RT / RW 08/016 Kapuk, Cengkareng. From the estimated load growth, the results show that the transformer can be operated for 14 years with a total loss due to the power loss of Rp. 565.146.992,4.
