Abstract :
The performance of solar panels can be seen from the curve-specific characteristics of solar panels that will use it. Characteristics of the solar panel consists of current-voltage curve and power-voltage curves. In this study to obtain the characteristics of the solar panels is measured based on the intensity of sunlight, Characteristics of the solar modules are the current, voltage, power characteristics voltage several environmental factors that can affect a decrease in one shadowed (shading) will affect the working system of solar panels. In this study using photovoltaic modules with a capacity of 20 Wattpeak Polycristaline types. From the test results there is a decrease in the photovoltaic module shading conditions amounted to 6.16 Wattpeak, with a ratio of photovoltaic modules amounting to 8.385 Wattpeak normal conditions. Some of the factors that affect the working of solar panels, among others, the length of electric cable used to connect the solar panels to the load, tilt the solar panels toward the incident angle of sunlight and the weather is sunny or cloudy conditions.
