Abstract :
Electricity distribution is needed by consumers, so that the transmission of electricity should have a good quality that is to minimize the disruption of the power transmission system in PLN. Reliability of distribution of power systems Power is closely related to the technology used, the SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system is one of the technologies used by PLN to ease the surveillance of distribution network as an electric power distributor to Consumer. To control the operation of such systems required a load-control center equipped with SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition). On the SCADA system the data transmission is required as a communication between the Master and RTU in order to run properly. Communication Media from RTU (Remote Terminal Unit) is connected with SCADA computer. From the results of the study can be seen that the disruption in the SCADA system is in the RTU is dominated by the OOS RTU. Because RTU OOS then it happened Downtime. The cause of downtime is due to unstable signal, Modemmm experienced RTU. RTU's downtime handling solution is to make repairs such as replacing the provider card on the modem to improve the network quality in addition to wearing a heat-resistant or more reliable modemm
