Abstract :
The use of underground cables in electricity transmission and distribution today is experiencing a rapid increase. Especially in urban and industrial areas where there are many tall buildings. 150 kV electric power transmission between substations also uses underground cables. The large conductor conductor
capacity is very influential to channel electrical energy, therefore the greater the conductor capacity, the greater the electrical energy that can be delivered. The calculation is done aims to compare the calculation data with 150 kV conductor
specification data used in the GIS Garden City to the GIS Kandang Sapi. From the results of the calculation and comparison of the carrying capacity of the 150 kV XLPE high voltage cable channel, the trefoil arrangement of one circuit is
1.137,7 Amperes and two circuits of 898,4 Amperes. Whereas in a flat arrangement with the same type of cable, one circuit is 1.134,0 Amperes and two circuits is 941,8 Amperes. Then it can be concluded that high voltage cable lines with trefoil arrangement are better because the carrying capacity is
greater, so that the electrical energy that can be distributed is greater.
