Abstract :
A transformer is one of the important electrical equipment, and must be maintained to get a long life and can be used for a long time. According to the IEEE C.57.91 standard in 1999 the normal age of the transformer is 20.55 years
with operation at around 30 ° C and the hotspot temperature limit reaches 110 ° C. This research uses a quantitative method in which the researcher measures the load directly and uses transformer distribution data and ambient temperature as research variables. Daily average ambient temperature in Serpong is 31 °C. The calculation results show that the loss of life transformer PNA016 for one day
is equal to 21,118 p.u or equal to 108,825%. So that the estimated remaining life of the transformer is 9.69 years. The result show that the higher loading rate makes hot spot temperature will increase so that the rate of thermal aging is also increasing and the age of the transformator decreases.
