Abstract :
In an electrical power distribution system, especially on medium voltage cable lines, certainly not free from disturbances that occur, with frequent interference that will damage the equipment such as: transformer, conductor, insulation. In the event of a power outage in the electric power system, especially at the substation will cause the feeder to go out so that electricity is not channeled to the consumer so the continuity of electricity distribution is not good. The method used in this study is a quantitative method and observations made at the Sukamerindu substation. So if the Sukamerindu Substation arrives until the trip so that it will cause all distribution substations on the 20kV feeder to be extinguished, and can disrupt the distribution of electricity to other consumers due to blackouts. To overcome this problem, it can be done by supplying transformers through the coupling cubicle. This can be done by connecting two busbars using a coupling. By using the Coupling Cubicle, it is expected that the blackout rate can be overcome. In the Coupling Cubicle, the result of the OCR setting is the relay workflow set at 1,732 A and the OCR moment workflow at, 8.66 A. The GFR setting result is that the relay work current is set at 0.21 A and the GFR relay workflow of 1.05 A.
